Join us for an evening with Cafe Deco’s Anna Tobias on July 12th

The Sonny Stores kitchen will be taken over by fellow River Cafe alumni, Anna Tobias, on July 12th, when Anna will be treating our guests to her celebrated style of classic cooking.

“I started my cooking career under the tutelage of Jeremy Lee at the Blueprint Café. From there I went to the River Café & then onto Rochelle Canteen where I had my first head chef role. A period of freelancing ensued, including a residency at the wine bar P. Franco.

I opened Café Deco with my business partners - the team behind 40 Maltby Street - in the middle of lockdown in November, 2020. It has been a wild ride but we survived! I would describe the food we cook as broadly European! The primary aim is to use excellent ingredients & keep it simple. I like to encourage people to appreciate the qualities of classical cooking. A lightness of touch is always something I try to bring to my food. And of course, I hope it’s delicious!”

Brunch: Saturday - Sunday, 09:00-12:00

Lunch: Tuesday - Sunday, 12:00 onwards

Dinner: Tuesday - Saturday, 17:30 onwards

Hatch: Thursday - Sunday: 12:00-17:00
